A+ Schools Program
The A+Schools Program was created in 1993 by state law as an incentive for improving Missouri’s high schools. The primary goal of the A+ Schools Program is to ensure that all students who graduate from Missouri high schools are well prepared to pursue advanced education and/or employment. The impact of this program has proven to be phenomenal. There are now 364 designated A+ high schools across the state. Southern Boone County High School is proud to be one of these designated schools.
Eligible graduates who complete the requirements of the A+ program may be eligible for scholarship funds that can be used toward participating public community college, vocational/technical schools, or certain private two-year vocational/technical schools. For more information please see our informational flyer or contact our schools A+ coordinator, Mr. David Shire (573) 657-2144.
