    Elementary Assistant Principal

    Southern Boone Elementary School in Ashland, Missouri is seeking an energetic, student-centered Assistant Principal for the 2018-2019 school year.  The applicant must be a positive, enthusiastic, team player dedicated to student achievement and achieving a school climate conducive to both student and staff excellence.  The candidate must either have a valid Missouri administrative certificate or be willing to work towards such certification. We are looking for a person with strong communication skills who is capable of working with students, staff and parents.  The assistant principal needs to be familiar with PBIS and be skilled in the area of maintaining and enforcing discipline throughout the school environment, as well as demonstrate the ability to help our school continue to grow through the Professional Learning Communities model.  Supervision of after-school and evening activities required.

    Alternative School Teacher

    Southern Boone Alternative School is looking for a full-time teacher for the 2018 – 2019 school year. The ideal candidate believes every student can succeed at high levels of learning and is an enthusiastic, positive team player, dedicated to student achievement.  A Missouri teaching certificate as a teacher is required. Experience working with at-risk or alternative students is highly recommended but not required. 


    Parents As Teachers Parent Educator 

    The Southern Boone County R-I School District Parents as Teachers is seeking applicants for a Parent Educator for the 2018-2019 school year.  Applicants must demonstrate a knowledge of what promotes optimal parent-child interaction and infant, toddler, and child development.  Working knowledge of Parents as Teachers Foundational Curriculum is a plus. This position is for our home-visiting program that requires evening hours.


    Reading Support Specialist 

    The Southern Boone County R-I School District is seeking applicants for the 2018-19 school year for a full-time Reading Support position at Southern Boone Elementary School.  Applicants must demonstrate a student-centered philosophy and ability to work with our most at-need learners.  Strong communication skills, flexibility and a love of children are essential.  Qualified applicants must be certified as an Elementary Teacher and Reading Specialist. 


    Garden Educator 

    Pending approval and funding, Southern Boone County R1 School District is hiring two Garden Educator positions to serve 1 year terms from August 1, 2018-July 31, 2019 as AmeriCorps Members through the Missouri Healthy Food AmeriCorps Program (in partnership with the Missouri River Communities Network).  Our focus is to provide high quality, hands-on gardening, nutrition, and environmental conservation education to our students and families. Candidates with experience are preferred.

    Southern Boone High School has an opening for a certified Science teacher for 2018 - 2019.  The ideal candidate for our school is a student-centered who is creative and has the great relational skills necessary to produce student excellence.
