The 4th grade classes in the elementary school had a Halloween Door Decorating Contest. After the votes were tallied, Ms. Picha's class was chosen as the winner of the contest with the door with the spider webs and lights.

Some of the 3rd and 4th grade students at the elementary school participated in the annual pumpkin decorating contest. The pumpkins had to be based on their favorite book character. As you can see, the elementary school has some amazingly talented students!

The elementary school held its first Book Swap of the school year last week. Every student received a free book of their choice. They were also able to bring in books from home to swap for books that were new to them.

They did an “explosion baggie” experiment of vinegar and baking soda to demonstrate chemical reactions. Students also investigated the process of osmosis through a growing gummy bear experiment.
