If you turned in your permission slip to attend state wrestling, you will receive an orange slip during 4th hour today! DO NOT LOSE THIS SLIP- we will not give new ones. On Wednesday when the announcement is made for students who are going to state wrestling to check out, you will bring that slip to the office and place it in a basket in front of the office door. This will be how you sign out.
If your permission slip indicated that you were attending on Thursday, you are not required to be at school on THursday at all, but if you come to school, please make sure to check in and out with the office.
Lastly- Reminder YOU HAVE to check in at Mizzou arena with Coach Tracey each day you attend, or your absence will not count as school excused.
The National Honor Society is holding a blood drive today from 2:00-6:00 in the Commons. Make sure to stop by and save a life!
Prom Committee will meet tomorrow during 4th hour in the library with Mrs. Reckner.
Art Club meets on Thursday after school with Mrs. Shaffer in the art room.
Applications to lifeguard at the Ashland pool are available in the office and need to be turned in by 2/27
The Boone County Clerk’s Office is currently selecting Youth Election Participants (YEPs) to work the April 7, 2026, Municipal Election. YEPs are high school students who are assigned to work alongside poll workers at a polling place in Boone County on Election Day. We’re reaching out to see if you have any interested students who would like to apply.
Requirements are:
Full-time high school student, age 15-17
Able to work at a polling place from 5 AM to 7 PM on Tuesday, April 7th (Election Day)
Not related within two degrees of any person whose name appears on the ballot, unless the candidate is unopposed (this includes parents, grandparents, siblings)
Selected students will be required to attend an in-person training class at the Poll Worker Training Center at 101 N 7th St in downtown Columbia Students will receive their polling place assignment after completing training.
Students will be paid $170 for working Election Day and $50 for attending a training session. Stop by the counseling office for more information and an application!
