5th grade English language arts students completed the novel study on Holes by Louis Sachar. To celebrate, 5th grade students enjoyed a day filled with fun activities that were related to the book. We ended the day watching the movie and enjoying some sploosh.

We are so proud of the hard work this year from our 8th grade Beta Club! They wrapped up the year by volunteering at the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri. Congratulations to the club for achieving well over 600 volunteer hours this year, which exceeded their club goal of 500 hours. WOW!! Way to go, Eagles!!!
🐾🌟 The 8th Grade Beta Club had an amazing time on Wednesday volunteering at the Central Missouri Humane Society in Columbia! 🐶 They spent the day crafting blankets and toys for the shelter animals. Students and staff then enjoyed some quality time walking the dogs, making a "paw-sitive" impact in our community. 🐾
Thanks to Mr. Higgins working with our students to put on a great band performance. 🎺Students have worked hard this year and you could tell! 🥁 Way to go, SBMS Band! ❤️🦅
