
In Mrs. Dooley's 5th grade science class, students have been learning about all the Earth systems. Students got to see how clouds condense and then precipitate once the water drops get too heavy. They enjoyed the shaving cream rain cloud experiment.






Congratulations to these middle school students for being selected for the Northeast Missouri Music Educators Association Junior High District Band. They rehearsed all day on Saturday at Moberly High School and performed a concert with the band on Saturday evening.


The middle school had a pep assmebly today to celebrate Courtwarming! It included performances by the high school band and cheerleaders, recognition of winter sports, clubs and groups, along with basketball games between students and teachers.



The Southern Boone Board of Education approved the district calendar for the 2023-2024 school year during the board’s monthly meeting on Monday, February 13th, 2023.

The Annual 5th Grade Sock Hop was after school this afternoon! Thank you to the parents and 5th grade teachers for helping organize this Southern Boone tradition!

The middle school used its intervention time during the 1st semester to focus on reading skills. On Tuesday, students participated in an assembly to celebrate their growth. Many students were recognized for their efforts to be better readers.

8th grade students in the advanced English class at the middle school had book club discussions about characters and their reactions to real life situations in their respective books.

Last week, the middle school held an assembly and had an Eagle Bill Giveaway. Students were entered into a drawing for a Taco Bell gift card. Students entered the giveaway with Eagle Bills that they earned by being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible while at school.
