All About Us
I am married and have 2 teenage boys. One who is in the district and one in college. I have been a teacher at Southern Boone for many years. I have taught second grade, kindergarten and am currently teaching preschool. I enjoy working with young children. Watching them grow and learn is so very rewarding. I look forward to coming to school each and every day.
I grew up in Columbia, graduated from Hickman, earned my Bachelor's degree in Education from MU, my Masters in Curriculum & Instruction from William Woods University, and became a certified eMINTS teacher. I have taught 5th grade for five years in Columbia, 4th grade at Southern Boone for 3 years, Kindergarten at SoBoCo for 11 years and preK beginning in 2018. I love teaching and believe that learning has to be fun and engaging. I strive to create a safe, caring environment that incorporates music, movement, creativity, and great literature as I teach the whole child to make at least one year’s growth. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and three kids.
I have been an aide at Southern Boone for many years. I have worked in special services and am currently working with preschool children. I find my job very gratifying. (Not pictured)
