Ms. Hammann's kindergarten class recently got to explore the inside of a pumpkin. They learned about the different parts of a pumpkin as they carved it. Students also got to practice drawing shapes by creating faces on our their own pumpkins.

The pre-kindergarten classes took a trip to the high school today to enjoy a puppet show. The performances were by high school students in Mr. Nabors' musical theater class.

The Southern Boone Learning Garden provides outdoor, garden-based education for students at the primary and elementary school. The primary focus is to provide outdoor learning opportunities about food, nutrition, agriculture and environmental science. Learn more at sblearninggarden.org. The Southern Boone School District is offering an optional protection plan for all student Chromebooks and iPads for the 2022-2023 school year. Parents/guardians have the option to participate in the Personal Learning Device Maintenance Program. The deadline to sign up for the program is Friday, October 14th, 2022. The Southern Boone School District will celebrate National School Lunch Week next week, October 10-14, 2022. The fun and creative campaign theme, “Peace, Love & School Lunch,” highlights the importance of a healthy school lunch to a student’s success both in and out of the classroom. There will be surprise guest lunch servers, fun giveaways and prizes, and a lot of groovy fun planned around school lunch next week.

Homecoming Spirit Days for the Primary/Elementary this week!

Ashland FFA is having its annual FFA Barnyard today for students in the Primary and Elementary School.

Thank you to the Jefferson City Central Labor Council for the generous donation to the primary school. These funds will help purchase school supplies for our students and teachers.

Primary and elementary school students and their families attended Family Counseling Night on Thursday evening. Families got to meet the school counselors from both buildings and do different tasks together as a family.
