The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has released the 2024-2025 Annual Performance Reports (APRs), showing significant gains for the Southern Boone County R-I School District in academic performance and growth.
Southern Boone School District achieved an APR of 95.9% under the Missouri School Improvement Program (MSIP 6), a 17-point increase from the previous school year. This achievement places Southern Boone among the top-performing school districts in Missouri. Key highlights include a perfect score in continuous improvement and full points awarded for the district’s high graduation rate.
“A score of 95.9% is outstanding, and our students, teachers, instructional staff and administrators should be commended for the incredible amount of work they do every single school day to yield such great results,” said School Superintendent Dr. Tim Roth. “These results affirm our commitment to continuous improvement, partnerships with our families and providing a high-quality education for every student.”
While celebrating the success, the district remains focused on continued growth. Administrators, school leaders and teachers are reviewing performance data to inform plans for curricular and instructional improvements—an integral part of ongoing professional collaboration throughout the school year.
“Our ongoing dedication is to provide a supportive and high-quality learning environment that meets the needs of all our students,” Roth added. “We deeply appreciate the ongoing support of our parents, families and community members. Their involvement—whether through volunteering, attending events, or supporting student learning at home—plays a vital role in our success. This partnership is what makes Southern Boone a truly special place to learn and grow.”
The Annual Performance Report measures progress by Missouri students, schools and local education agencies against state benchmarks set by the Missouri State Board of Education. MSIP 6 defines expectations for school practices and student outcomes, ensuring students are prepared for college, careers and life.
