MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Make plans to join us for the first ever Fall Frenzy on Friday, August 12th, starting at 7PM at the high school. We'll be spotlighting the different fall high school programs throughout the evening as they practice and prepare for the upcoming season!
The Annual 4th Grade Lemonade Stands was held today at the elementary school. Students have been reading the book, The Lemonade War and learned about starting a business and practiced counting back change. All of the money raised will be donated to a non-profit organization.
The Southern Boone Learning Garden's Dine in the Dirt fundraiser is this Saturday evening!

The Ashland Police Department will be participating in active shooter training at the Southern Boone Primary School on Thursday, July 21st, from 6-8PM. We want the community to be aware there will be emergency vehicles and police officers at the school during the training and that there is no emergency at the school.

This morning, we're hosting a July Jumpstart Workshop for our new teachers and staff. They are learning about the school district, employee information, curriculum and other information to prepare for the upcoming school year.
Members of the school district's transportation department attended the Missouri Association of Pupil Transportation Conference in Springfield this week. Bus Mechanic Dennis Sapp was presented with the Exemplary School Bus Maintenance Award by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. This award is presented to school districts that have evidence of compliance with at least 90% for five years of Missouri school bus inspections. Also during the conference, Transportation Director Ashley Bruce completed the MAPT Student Transportation Professional Certification Program, which included learning about school bus safety, compliance and national/state bus regulations.
