The Southern Boone County R-I School District will hold an election on April 8, 2025, to fill two positions on the Board of Education, each serving a three-year term. On Thursday, Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft visited Mrs. Contrades and Mrs. Thompson’s 5th grade social studies classes! 🎉 He shared insights about government, the importance of voting, his job responsibilities, and what it means to be a responsible citizen. 🗳️✨ Students also had the chance to ask some great questions and engage in meaningful discussions. 🎉 Field Trip Day at Mizzou! 🎉 Today, around 60 of our 8th grade students had an amazing opportunity to tour the University of Missouri campus in Columbia! 🐯 They explored the campus and got a close-up look at Mizzou's fine arts programs, including art and choir. 🎨🎶 This was a fantastic way for our students to see firsthand the possibilities that lie ahead as they dream big and plan for their future! Thank you, Mizzou, for inspiring our students and showing them the wonderful world of higher education!
