📚 Meet Jennifer Anthony – Literacy Support Teacher
📍 Southern Boone Elementary School
We’re excited to welcome Jennifer Anthony to the Southern Boone Elementary School team as our new Literacy Support Teacher!
Jennifer is a Southern Boone alum who went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from Columbia College and her Master’s degree in Reading from Northwest Missouri State University. She brings 10 years of teaching experience and a strong passion for helping students grow as readers.
Jennifer and her husband, Steven, have been married for almost 12 years and have two children — Maddox, who will be entering 2nd grade, and Madelyn, who is starting Pre-K this year as a brand-new Eagle! In her free time, Jennifer enjoys going on walks, camping, shopping, spending time with friends and family, and, of course, reading. 📖⛺

Adrienne graduated from the University of Missouri (Mizzou) with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and is beginning her first year teaching in her own classroom.
Originally from St. Louis, Adrienne comes from a big, close-knit family with five siblings. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks and cooking with her boyfriend, Spencer, as well as reading, doing art projects, and traveling—especially to warm, sunny places. 🌞✈️

During my time student teaching here, I built such strong connections with the staff, students, and families, and I truly felt supported and welcomed. Angela graduated from Central Methodist University in 2020 with a degree in Criminal Justice and is currently re-enrolled at CMU to finish her teaching certification in Elementary Education. Before coming to Southern Boone, she spent three years working in higher education.
Angela and her fiancé, John, have three children — Kinleigh (6th grade), Delanie (4th grade), and John Maverick (1st grade) — who are all joining Southern Boone this year! Outside of work, Angela enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping, though most of her free time is happily spent at the ballfield or gym, cheering on her kids in baseball, softball, basketball, and cheer. ⚾🏀📣
Angela shared, “I started at Southern Boone in April and have absolutely loved my time here so far. The high school counselors and administration are top notch, and I’m so glad I get to work with such an amazing group of people.”
