Southern Boone Middle School's Student Council and Jr. BETA Club are teaming up for a Penny War to support families affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Starting Monday, October 21st through Friday, November 1st, students are asked to bring pennies to their Eagle Time teachers and help make a difference! 🪙 The winning grade level will get to choose a special activity, so let the competition begin! 🏆✨ Let’s show our Eagle pride and come together for this important cause! 💪🦅🔴⚫

🚒🔥 National Fire Prevention Week 🔥🚒 Our kindergarten through 4th-grade students had a great time today learning all about fire safety! 🚨 They got to get up close to the fire trucks, check out the equipment and hear from firefighters. A big THANK YOU to the Southern Boone Fire Protection District for teaching our students important safety tips and showing them the tools that help keep our community safe. 🧑‍🚒

🚨🚧High School Construction Update 🚨🚧 Crews will soon begin construction on the north side of the high school campus. This project includes installing a new drive and entrance from Crump Lane and extending a water main near the baseball/softball field. 🔸 Parking Reminder: The gravel area north of the high school will still be available for fall athletic events. Please use caution when driving around the campus. This project is part of the $11.6 million no tax rate increase bond approved by voters to support the high school expansion.
