This morning, our Southern Boone School District family gathered for our Annual All Staff Back-to-School Breakfast and Convocation! The day kicked off with the Middle School Student Council leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a beautiful musical performance by Senior Julia Francis. 🎶
Superintendent Dr. Tim Roth inspired us with his opening message, setting the tone for a fantastic school year ahead. We were also honored to welcome our guest speaker, Dr. Todd Whitaker, renowned author of "What Great Teachers Do Differently" and "What Great Principals Do Differently," who shared invaluable insights with our staff.

🏫Experience: Two years
Rachel and her husband, Ryan, have a 13 month old son named Nolan👶 and a one year old chocolate lab named Manning🐕🦺. She is originally from Fulton but has lived in Kirksville for the last five years. Rachel’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her family. She also enjoys being outside, going on walks, shopping🛍️ and scrapbooking.
Rachel says she is excited to work at Southern Boone because she’s heard wonderful things about the school district and the community’s support🦅🔴⚫. She can't wait to meet her students and their families!

Outside of teaching, Jason says he loves exploring the natural sciences, particularly prehistoric aquatic environments and extinct fish species. He also enjoys video editing designing board games, programming indie video games🎮, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. Additionally, Jason says he has a passion for reading📖 and writing short stories.
Jason says he’s excited to join the Southern Boone School District because of his positive experiences substituting here, in addition to the eager students and welcoming staff. His passion for biology, particularly ecology, alongside the other sciences, drives me to inspire and engage students in these subjects.

Middle School Cheerleaders participated in UCA cheer camp last month. They had the option to try out for All American which consisted of doing a cheer, jump, and dance in front of judges. If selected, they are invited to participate in special events such as Orlando Thanksgiving Parade, Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade and London New Years Parade.

CLASS SCHEDULES/ASSIGNMENT: Student class schedules and teacher assignments will be available to view in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account for only high school (9th-12th grade) students after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14th.
Class schedules and teacher assignments for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade will be available after 4 p.m. on Friday, August 16th.
To view class schedules and teacher assignments in your online parent portal, click on the “More” button on the left side of the home page, then click on documents.
Online registration will need to be completed before you’re able to view class schedules and teacher assignments in your parent portal in Infinite Campus.

Andrew and his wife, Amelia, love to hike and ride their bikes! 🚴♂️🚴♀️ They are also huge supporters of high school sports and will be at a lot of games to support the EAGLES! 🔴⚫🦅
