Southern Boone High School Beta Club is collecting new and gently used shoes for people in third-world countries. Donations can be dropped off in the primary, elementary, middle or high school lobbies.
Southern Boone Parents As Teachers is hosting a Community Helpers event this evening from 5:30-6:30PM in the primary school parking lot. Emergency personnel including an ambulance, police cars, fire trucks and a medical helicopter will all be participating in the event.
The Southern Boone Board of Education will meet for its monthly board meeting at 6:30 p.m. this evening in the central office boardroom. The meeting is open to the public.

🚍🚍 New Wheels for a Safer Ride! 🚍🚍
The Southern Boone Transportation Department is excited to welcome two brand-new school buses to our fleet! These buses are replacing older ones with high mileage, ensuring that our students will continue to travel safely and comfortably. Regularly updating our buses is important to keeping our fleet running efficiently and ensuring top-notch safety standards for our students.
REMINDER: Ashland FFA Alumni is having a Burger and Fry Dinner Fundraiser this evening from 5PM-7PM behind the ag building. Dine-in or carryout dinners are $12 each.
The Southern Boone Board of Education received an exciting update on the high school expansion construction project during a special meeting held Tuesday evening. The $11.6 million No Tax Rate Increase Bond Issue, approved in April 2024, will fund the much-anticipated expansion aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for Southern Boone students.
Progress continues on the design and engineering phase, with recent updates showcasing detailed plans for new vocational and agriculture classrooms, a state-of-the-art lab, and a large shop area. The expansion will also include two new art classrooms, as well as a family and consumer science classroom, providing more opportunities for students to explore various academic and creative fields.
The newly unveiled architectural renderings offer a closer look at what the high school’s future wing will look like, offering a blend of modern design and functional space tailored to support the growing needs of Southern Boone's students.

Work continues remodeling two sets of restrooms at the high school. The restrooms are located in the commons area and near the front office of the high school. This project is part of the April 2024 $11.6 million no tax rate increase bond issue that voters approved for the high school expansion construction project.

In her free time, Ashton says she enjoys doing all things outdoors including hiking, riding side by sides and taking her chocolate lab swimming🐕🦺!
