
Due to MSHSAA’s rules, admission to tonight’s home district football game and Saturday’s home district soccer game is $6 per person ages 7 and older (which includes all students). Tickets will be sold at the gate and only cash will be accepted. No passes will be honored.

Southern Boone School District is the recipient of a $200,000 grant to make school safety upgrades throughout the district. The funds are from the State of Missouri’s new school safety grant program.

REMINDER: Opaa! Food Management is hosting Breakfast with a Champion this Friday morning at the primary, elementary and middle school cafeterias. Students will be able to enjoy a healthy breakfast with Southern Boone Football players on game day!


Some of the 3rd and 4th grade students at the elementary school participated in the annual pumpkin decorating contest. The pumpkins had to be based on their favorite book character. As you can see, the elementary school has some amazingly talented students!

Congratulations to the Southern Boone Marching Eagles for making the finals on Saturday at the Missouri State Marching Association State Championship. They came in 5th place in Class 3A, with two great performances!

A group of 7th and 8th grade students went on a field trip last week to Missouri S&T. The Kummer Center for STEM Education hosted the Expanding Your Horizons Conference for middle school students on the university campus in Rolla.






The Ashland Optimist Club came to the elementary school on Thursday and gave each third grade student their own dictionary. Each year, the organization provides dictionaries to all students in the third grade. Thank you Ashland Optimist Club for your support of our students!










Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services will be holding a flu shot clinic at our schools on Thursday, November 2nd.

Students in Pre-K through 5th grade are visiting the Ashland FFA Children's Barnyard today. They are learning more about different farm animals like horses, cows, pigs, sheep, ducks, chickens, rabbits and more.











A group of high school students attended the Build My Future event in Jefferson City today. The event focused on different careers in the construction field. Students took part in interactive activities related to welding, concrete, electrical and machinery.
