Each staff member received a Southern Boone t-shirt, lunch and a goodie bag from local businesses. The school district held its annual All Staff Back-to-School Breakfast and Convocation this morning. The event included reciting The Pledge of Allegiance led by the Middle School Student Council, a musical performance by high school student Julia Francis, opening remarks from School Superintendent Dr. Tim Roth and guest speaker, retired superintendent Dr. Kevin Daniel, who spoke about scaling your Mount Everest personally and professionally. It was a great way to start the first day with all teachers and staff in our buildings as we prepare for the 2023-2024 school year.
