The elementary school held its first Book Swap of the school year last week. Every student received a free book of their choice. They were also able to bring in books from home to swap for books that were new to them.

Before tonight's school board meeting, the school district hosted a new staff dinner for new teachers and staff, along with board members and district administrators. This was a great opportunity for the new staff to meet and visit with school board members.

Tonight is the first varsity home football game at the newly renovated outdoor stadium! Southern Boone Eagles host the Boonville Pirates this evening with kickoff at 7PM! Come out and enjoy the game!

Southern Boone Middle School and Youth Cheerleaders did a great job last night at the middle school football games at Osage.
National FFA Secretary Jessica Herr visited Southern Boone High School and spoke to Ashland FFA members about a variety of different topics.
Keith Mueller with Boone Electric Cooperative visited the elementary school today and gave a presentation to all 4th grade students about electrical energy and how to be safe around electricity.
