The elementary school was awarded a $500 grant from the Missouri Retired Teachers Association. The funds were used to purchase items for safety bags for each teacher at the elementary school.
The Southern Boone School District is offering an optional protection plan for all student Chromebooks and iPads for the 2022-2023 school year. Parents/guardians have the option to participate in the Personal Learning Device Maintenance Program. The deadline to sign up for the program is Friday, October 14th, 2022. The Southern Boone School District will celebrate National School Lunch Week next week, October 10-14, 2022. The fun and creative campaign theme, “Peace, Love & School Lunch,” highlights the importance of a healthy school lunch to a student’s success both in and out of the classroom. There will be surprise guest lunch servers, fun giveaways and prizes, and a lot of groovy fun planned around school lunch next week.
Meet the Middle School Library Squad: Liliana Brown, Julia Volkart, Leo Overstreet, Ella Hill, Katelyn Bach and Emily Riggs! Outfitted in their special library aprons, this crew checks books in, places books in the hold basket, shelves and straightens books; helping to keep the library neat and orderly. They help in the library before before school, during Eagle Time and during study hall. Ms. Chapman counts herself very lucky to have them!
