We’re excited to welcome Callyn Kinney to the Southern Boone Primary School team as our new Speech Language Pathologist!
Callyn earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Truman State University and is beginning her first year in education. She’s excited to start her career supporting students’ communication growth and building strong connections within the school community.
Outside of school, Callyn enjoys going on walks, reading, and spending time with her family. She especially loves keeping up with her energetic 3-year-old nephew, who makes life lively and fun. 📚👟👩👩👦

We’re excited to welcome Ananiah Talton to the Southern Boone Primary School team as a 1st Grade Teacher!
Ananiah studied at William Woods University and brings four years of teaching experience to her new role. She’s passionate about helping young learners build a strong foundation and grow with confidence.
When she’s not in the classroom, you’ll often find Ananiah spending time with her family, traveling, or behind the camera enjoying her love for photography. She especially enjoys exploring new places and trying new things — always looking for the next adventure and learning opportunity. 📸✈️

We’re excited to welcome Tara Blue to the Southern Boone High School team as a Science Teacher!
Tara earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Environmental Management and went on to complete her Master’s degree in Environmental Science. She brings five years of teaching experience to Southern Boone and a strong passion for helping students explore the world of science.
At home, Tara loves cooking for her family. With all three of her kids attending Southern Boone High School this year, she shared that there’s no place she’d rather be than right here at Southern Boone.🍳

We’re excited to welcome Jennifer Anthony to the Southern Boone Elementary School team as our new Literacy Support Teacher!
Jennifer is a Southern Boone alum who went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from Columbia College and her Master’s degree in Reading from Northwest Missouri State University. She brings 10 years of teaching experience and a strong passion for helping students grow as readers.
Jennifer and her husband, Steven, have been married for almost 12 years and have two children — Maddox, who will be entering 2nd grade, and Madelyn, who is starting Pre-K this year as a brand-new Eagle! In her free time, Jennifer enjoys going on walks, camping, shopping, spending time with friends and family, and, of course, reading. 📖⛺
Jennifer shared, “Southern Boone is my home! It is an honor to serve the kids in the community that helped shape who I am today.”
