There are two positions available, each with three-year terms. Filing is currently open and will end on December 26, 2023, at 5 p.m.

The Southern Boone High School Beta Club recently hosted a Grinch Party at the primary school. They also worked on their service project of making blankets. High school students in Mr. Meyers' Project Lead The Way class gave their Shark Tank presentations today. Their presentations included innovation, creativity and passion as these future entrepreneurs pitched their incredible ideas to our esteemed judges to consider.




Our kindergarten classes visited Ashland Villa and Bluegrass Terrace last week to share the festive spirit through heartwarming Christmas carols. Witnessing the joy on both the students' faces and the residents' smiles was truly magical!


The Southern Boone Board of Education will meet for its monthly board meeting this evening at 6:30 p.m. in the central office boardroom. The meeting is open to the public.

Thank you to everyone who donated during the 2023 Holiday Food Drive. We raised nearly $7,000 and received a bunch of non-perishable food items that will be given to 58 families in the Southern Boone community. A special thank you to the Southern Boone Community Teachers Association for helping organize the food drive.

Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade quiz bowl teams for defeating Eugene, Osage and Camdenton in competition on Thursday. Evan Murray and Kayden Gilstrap received prizes for high scores.

Southern Boone Primary School is accepting gently used children's books for their Book Swap program. Donations can be dropped off at the primary school office.

Mrs. Himmelberg's kindergarten class participated in an Adopt-A-Soldier program this holiday season. The students brought in various items to send to Army medic Landon Mahoney from Columbia, who is serving our country and is currently stationed in Germany.
