The Southern Boone Varsity Quiz Bowl team competed in the second of three Tri-County conference tournaments Thursday evening at School of the Osage.
Quiz Bowl Sponsor Mrs. Rogers says it was a challenging night for the team, as they went 1-2 on the evening. The team performed admirably against perpetual powerhouse Hallsville and held them to a closer margin than any other team in the conference this year. They then dropped a close match to Osage which came down to the last two questions of the game. They finished the evening with a strong performance against Boonville. Top scorers for the team were Max Rice and Hunter Parsons.
The team currently sits in third place in the Tri-County Conference and will resume play on January 12th, as they travel to Eugene for an invitational quad tournament.
